The aim of community building is a pattern of life in which worship and service are woven together, in which people of diverse backgrounds are bound by ties of friendship and trust, and in which everyone — from children to elders — contributes according to their capacity.
People in a locality consult together, reflect on their experience and decide on their next steps. In this way a community gradually learns to take charge of its own spiritual and material development.
